Magnetic Feet require suitable ferrous-steel mounting surfaces. They will not attach correctly to aluminium, fibreglass, plastic or non-magnetic stainless steel.
Each Magnetic Foot attaches to a compatible Boss mount through its integrated M8 × 15 mm threaded stud.
The standard hardware arrangement is:
Position the Magnetic Feet so every foot makes full contact with a clean, flat and suitable ferrous-steel surface.
Clean and inspect the underside of every Magnetic Foot and the selected mounting surface before installation.
Remove dust, sand, metal particles and other contaminants. Material trapped between the TPE coating and mounting surface may reduce magnetic performance or damage painted surfaces.
Place and remove the Magnetic Feet carefully. Do not drag them across painted panels.
Inspect the TPE coating regularly and discontinue use if it becomes split, badly worn, hardened or damaged.
Important: The 30 kg figure is a direct perpendicular pull-out result measured under the supplier's test conditions with the TPE coating fitted. It does not represent sideways, wind or dynamic holding capacity. Actual performance depends on steel thickness, surface condition, paint and coatings, contact area, mounting orientation, vehicle movement and environmental conditions.
The Boss Magnetic Feet Kit provides a removable mounting option for compatible Boss Starlink Mini mounts.
Each Magnetic Foot uses a high-grade N52 NdFeB neodymium magnet beneath a protective TPE contact surface. The TPE coating helps protect the magnet and helps reduce marking when both the Magnetic Foot and mounting surface are kept clean.
The four-foot set creates a stable four-point mounting arrangement. Individual Magnetic Feet are also available as replacements or for applications requiring additional units.
