The ORI Silverado 2500HD GVM Upgrade Packages are engineered to increase Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM), payload capacity and suspension performance while maintaining full Australian compliance.

As an authorised ORI installer, Boss Aluminium supplies and fits these packages for customers looking to build a compliant, capable and properly engineered Silverado — particularly when pairing the vehicle with Boss Aluminium trays, canopies or service bodies where real-world payload capacity is critical.

Available in three progressive stages, each package is designed to suit different vehicle uses — from touring and light trade setups through to heavy-duty and extreme off-road builds.

All stages are SSM federally approved and developed specifically for Australian conditions.

GVM Package Stages Explained

Stage 1 – Touring & Entry-Level GVM Upgrade

Best suited to: Touring builds, moderate payloads, daily-driven Silverados.

Stage 1 offers a significant GVM increase over factory while improving ride control and load support. This stage is ideal for customers fitting a Boss Aluminium tray or canopy who want additional payload capacity without moving into heavy-duty suspension systems.

Stage 1 Includes:

• GVM increased to 5500kg

• Fox 2.5 Performance Series shocks (front & rear)

• ORI 300kg rated rear leaf packs

• BDS control arms

• Improved ride quality and load stability

Stage 2 – Heavy Load & Work-Ready Upgrade

Best suited to: Trades, towing, constant payload, canopy and service body builds.

Stage 2 increases GVM further and upgrades key suspension components to handle sustained heavy loads more effectively. This option is ideal for Silverados running Boss Aluminium service bodies, electrical systems, water tanks or long-term touring setups.

Stage 2 Includes:

• GVM increased to 5900kg

• Fox 2.5 Performance Elite shocks

• ORI 500kg rated rear leaf packs

• BDS control arms

• Enhanced stability under constant load

Stage 3 – Ultimate Performance GVM Package

Best suited to: Maximum payload builds, premium touring rigs, extreme off-road conditions.

Stage 3 is the most advanced ORI GVM solution, featuring a coil-over front suspension conversion for superior suspension travel, ride control and off-road performance under heavy load.

This package is designed for customers wanting the highest level of suspension performance to complement a fully optioned Boss Aluminium build.

Stage 3 Includes:

• GVM increased to 5900kg

• Fox 2.5 Performance Elite coil-over front suspension

• Fox 2.5 Performance Elite rear shocks

• ORI 500kg rated rear leaf packs
