INTEGRATED TIE RAIL
All of the Boss Aluminium Tray range now share the same deck. Removing the choice between ‘cleanside’ and ‘railside’. The new design includes a revised multi-purpose tie rail design for maximum tie down flexibility along with a new aesthetic.
SHEET METAL HEADBOARD
Moving away from the tubular style headboard, the sheet metal headboard brings style and new features. The stronger bolt on headboard with mesh is more practical for work or play. With this new headboard you are now able to option a headboard water tank along with multi-fit 12v outlets.
100% POWDER COATED
Powder coating at Boss Aluminium is now being completed in-house! All trays now come with a powder coated deck and full underside where previously this did not happen. Boss is confident this added feature will provide greater longevity and improve the quality of the workmanship.

THE BACKGROUND
Boss Aluminium is constantly developing new ways to improve the customer experience with every product offered. This new tray design enables the ultimate ability to futureproof the setup on your vehicle. With provisions for pretty much any accessory, the tray offers a platform to suit everyone’s needs. The Boss design team have been hard at work ensuring the Next Gen Tray satisfies the needs of customers whilst offering a new aesthetic that owners will love.
Boss Aluminium is now completing the powder coating of all products in-house. What does this mean for customers? The team is confident in the quality of the powder coat we use in addition to the acid dipping all products receive as prepping for powder. Overall, providing a much stronger adhesion to the aluminium and creating a protective layer, lasting longer than traditional powder coating methods. For Boss products, this means 100% of trays and canopies are powder coated, something that did not occur in the past.
Boss loves hearing feedback from customers about how the products can be further improved after hard use. One of the changes inspired by customers was the addition of a standard bolt-on sheet-metal headboard. Customers now have the ability to run a 40L poly headboard water tank on the M-Spec tray range, allowing for a staggering 110L water storage capacity when paired with the 70L under-tray water tank.
The team are confident customers will love the updates made to the range. With the added ability to fit the new M-Spec Tray to virtually any standard Ute, thanks to the Boss Multi-Fit system, now allowing for seamless fitment with newly designed under-body boxes, one-piece mud guards and infill panels. Full Tray
A full aluminium ute tray includes a headboard and tray sides. This is recommended for when you don’t plan on running a canopy full time.
Flatbed Tray
A flatbed tray allows for a larger canopy by not having a headboard. Flatbed trays are for those wanting to run a canopy fulltime.
Double Skinned Tray Sides
Our tray sides are designed with an inner and outer skin which adds integral strength as well as practical functionality. This design prevents bowing if you tie down your load over the top of the tray sides and provides an extra layer of protection from gear inside the tray.
