Toyota HiLux Trays & Canopies

The way you load a HiLux can change from job to job. A trade fit-out needs to keep your everyday tools accessible while leaving the loading space your work requires.

Our Australian-made fleet range includes single and dual toolboxes, removable three-door canopies and service bodies. We’ll help you compare these with a modular M-Spec canopy and plan the storage around how your HiLux is used.

01

Choose A HiLux Trade Or Touring Layout

Begin with the largest loads you regularly transport and the tools you use at each job. That gives you a useful starting point for the enclosure and deck layout.

Open Tray & Enclosed Storage

Tray with toolboxes: Plan side-access tool storage and the deck space needed for materials.
Canopy on a tray: Organise equipment behind canopy doors, with partial or full coverage to suit the load.
Dedicated service body: Compare a three-door trade body and its shelving, underbody storage and locking options.

Our fleet range brings these trade options together. For a touring fit-out, explore the M-Spec canopy range and compatible storage components.

M-Spec Tray Packages

The tray packages share a deck, sheet metal headboard, double-skinned sides, one-piece mudguards and classic tail infill. Choose the under tray storage to suit your work:

M1: Base tray with individually selected equipment.
M2: Adds two rear underbody boxes.
M3: Adds a rear drawer as well as the two rear boxes.
M4: Combines rear boxes, a shortened drawer and a 70 L under tray water tank.

Compare our ute trays for the full package inclusions. Confirm the tray and drawer dimensions for your HiLux model year and cab.

Plan The Fit-Out Around Your Business

Tool Access & Loading Space

Place the tools used at each job near the doors and measure the materials carried on the deck. Check that drawers and doors can open where the vehicle is normally parked.

One Ute Or A Fleet

For multiple vehicles, tell us whether they carry the same equipment or do different jobs. We work with sole traders through to larger fleets, selecting storage options around the equipment each business carries.

A removable three-door canopy can free the tray when it’s taken off. Confirm mounting, removal arrangements and compatibility for the selected HiLux and Boss tray.

Australian Manufacturing & Workmanship

We design, manufacture and powder coat our aluminium products in Melbourne. Our Australian-owned family business was established in 2000. We back our workmanship with a lifetime warranty, with separate terms to confirm for other supplied equipment.

HiLux Vehicle Fitment

Send your model year, cab type and trim. The tray and canopy footprint, front underbody storage, mounting and factory equipment all need to suit the exact vehicle.

If you have an existing tray, include dimensions and photos. Ask for current component weights and allow for your tools, materials, water and accessories in the complete load.

Toyota HiLux Tray & Canopy FAQs

Which Boss Tray Fits My HiLux?

Send your HiLux model year, cab and trim, plus details of any chassis modifications. We’ll check the supported tray configuration, dimensions and mounting for that vehicle.

Should I Choose Toolboxes Or A Canopy?

Toolboxes provide side-access storage for tools. A canopy gives you a shared enclosed space for equipment or a touring fit-out. Measure the gear you’ll store inside and the loads you’ll carry on the open deck to choose the layout.

Can I Use A Removable Three-Door Canopy?

Our three-door canopy is designed for our M-Spec and Premium Trays. Confirm the tray, mounting and removal arrangement for your HiLux before ordering.

Can Boss Set Up Several HiLux Work Utes?

Our fleet range serves businesses from sole traders to larger fleets. Send the vehicle specifications and equipment requirements so we can discuss the proposed fit-outs.

How Much Does A HiLux Tray & Canopy Cost?

Cost depends on the tray or body, enclosure, components and fitting work. Request a quote with clear inclusions for GST, installation, delivery and tub removal if needed.
