The Clearview® Compact Mirror is our newest towing mirror design.

Compact Towing Mirrors are just like a factory Mirror, with the additional advantage of the extra visibility that our towing mirror extension provides.
A large convex* single mirror reduces the objects that it reflects, allowing the driver to have a much wider field view and diminishing blind spots.

*For the newest Toyota MY24 LC76, LC78 & LC79 Series, our special edition Clearview Compact Towing Mirrors ensure compliance with ADR standards. Featuring a single, flat mirror on the driver’s side, and a single convex mirror on the passenger’s side, these mirrors maintain their good looks whilst complying with the ADRs.

Single mirror models are recommended for vehicles with large canopies or for towing smaller vans. Clearview Compact models are still suitable (and popular) for towing 20ft vans, but will not offer the equivalent visibility that our Next Gen mirrors offer.

This is the mirror for you if you want a sleek, compact style while still ensuring wide visibility and safety.

Raw finishes can be painted to any colour by a third-party automotive paint shop at an additional cost

Compact Towing Mirror Overview

The existing positions of the mirror mounting holes on the doors of the LC79 vary as the standard mirrors are installed after the vehicle lands in Australia. When the factory mirror is removed, it leaves two holes in the side of the door panel. Our Clearview Towing Mirror base mounts onto these same holes, but due to their varying positions on individual vehicles, our mounting holes are elongated to allow for the variance. This can also mean that the overall position of the mirror on the door can be different by vehicle.

Clearview Towing Mirrors can be installed onto vehicles with vent windows like the Troop Carrier, but as the mounting position of the mirrors overlap the glass, it will result in the vent window no longer being operational.
In some 70 series models, additional holes may be required to support the mirror base.
Some 76, 78 and early 70 Series Models feature a LandCruiser Badge on the door, which may be covered by the mirror base upon installation.

OEM-Comparable Size & Driving Position
Mirror size and on-road driving position closely match OEM mirrors, ensuring comfortable everyday use
without compromising visibility when towing.
2-Stage Telescopic Extension
Telescopic two-stage extension provides up to 180mm of extension, allowing drivers to select
from three towing positions. Mirrors remain locked in position and will not retract at highway speeds
or when passing large vehicles.
Large Convex Single Mirror
The large convex mirror reduces object size while dramatically expanding the field of view,
helping to minimise blind spots and improve overall awareness when towing.
Ideal for Service Bodies & Compact Setups
Compact models function exceptionally well on smaller vehicles fitted with service bodies.
Single mirror variants are recommended for vehicles with large canopies or when towing smaller vans.
Towing Suitability
Clearview Compact mirrors are suitable and popular for towing caravans up to 20ft.
While they provide excellent visibility, larger Next Gen mirrors offer increased coverage
for larger vans and wider towing setups.

Important Note About Features
Towing mirror features are only available for vehicles with those pre-existing features as standard (e.g. heated glass, power fold, blind spot monitoring, etc). The mirror itself cannot add new functionality to the vehicle.

Mirrors electrically fold when locking and return to the driving position when the vehicle is started.
Only available for vehicles with factory power-fold mirrors. Options may vary by make, model, and year.
Electric Adjustment
Electric Adjustment
Supports vertical/horizontal adjustment of mirror glass. Single mirror models offer full electric adjustment. Double mirror models provide electric adjustment for the upper mirror; the lower mirror is manual.
Requires factory electric mirror controls.
